This program is open to Detroit youth ages 11 - 19.
If you are a middle or high school student interested in pursuing a career in jazz, MSU Jazz will help you build your musicianship skills with a high quality, after-school education program that focuses on improvisation and big band. The program is taught by MSU College of Music Jazz Faculty and student mentors, and meets weekly for a total of 30 three and one-half hour sessions.
