Saturday Morning Art (SMArt) Program
This program is available to youth ages 7 - 18.
Do you enjoy art? Are you looking for a creative, weekend activity? Serving over 130 children and youth every fall and spring semester, Saturday Morning Art (SMArt) broadens and enriches the art experiences of young people ages 7 through 18. It is held in the art studios of the Kresge Art Center and taught by pre-service teachers from the MSU Art Education Program, who instruct students in a range of exciting approaches to visual art. Classes run for seven weeks and end with a public exhibition of artwork produced during the term. There are classes for ages 7 and 8, 9 to 11, and 12 to 18. Enrollment begins early each semester, and there is a $50.00 non-refundable materials fee.
